Would you love to Play Just One Song on the piano?

Do you want to learn to play piano - just the essentials - no sheet music, no unnecessary fluff?

Well you can!

I am a qualified music teacher and I have been using a different approach to teaching piano

Go from Complete Beginner to                    playing Happy Birthday on Piano

Does any part of you want to learn to play piano?

What's holding you back? Maybe you don't know how to read music? It's actually not a necessary skill to follow this program.

Learn to play Happy Birthday in a Day

If you devote a full day to this, by the end of the day you will be able to play a piano accompaniment to this song as you sing along.

I'm not joking.  This is not a false promise

Give it a day and see how you do.  I think that you will be amazed at how well you will have progressed.

Here's the embarrassing moment that prompted me to find a new way to teach and learn piano...

I was known in my circle of friends as the piano player and the talented musician.  One day, at a friends birthday party,  I was unexpectedly asked to accompany everyone singing Happy Birthday.  I sat down at the piano.

My mind raced as I quickly fumbled around trying to figure out what to play with my left hand as I quickly got the melody going with my right hand.  I stumbled through it panicking and eventually got to the end of the song.

I looked up and was quietly relieved to see that the party revellers didn't really notice that I was not really on top of it - everyone's focus had now turned to the birthday cake!  Phew - lucky escape!!

However, the experience left me feeling deflated.  Here I was after all these years playing classical piano, having entered many piano exams and with many Distinctions under my belt but with no real understanding of how to put a piano accompaniment together for the all time favourite classic - "Happy Birthday" without reading music.

I realised that day that some element had been missing in my own musical education and I decided to find out what it was.   I had just opened my piano studio and wanted this missing piece to be part of my own students piano program.

I didn't want my students to miss out!

I wanted them to learn The Best Way to create a piano accompaniment to any song

I continued my own learning and over the years, it became apparent that:

Reading sheet music is NOT necessarily the key to success!

My own piano teaching program began to emerge.

This program teaches students (even as young as 6 and 7 years old) how to accompany themselves on piano as they sing along.
